Five Things About Clueless Restaurants - Part Two

By Jane Feehan

Continuing the Clueless series … below are dining out turnoffs:

•Leaving glass doors and windows to an establishment decked out in fingerprints (is this as clean as the kitchen is?);

•Setting tables with dirty plates or glasses (that includes fingerprints);

•Providing cheap, bent tableware;

•Serving cold food (is it the kitchen – or wait staff?);

•Failing to use the Internet as a sales tool. If a Web site isn’t financially feasible there’s always Facebook; it’s free. A menu can be posted (really important to most diners), hours of operation listed, and a customer base developed.
