Neighborhood sandwich shop Pita Pit draws a good crowd; I found out why after ordering a Greek-style chicken version.
Lots of fresh ingredients with a hint of Greek flavors, my sandwich was tangy and tasty. A fellow diner sampled a veggie pita and was sold. This place has the taste of a neighborhood restaurant - not a chain fast food joint.
Diners get to pick from a choice of vegetables and sauces to “dress” sandwiches. Pita Pit serves a good variety of pita style meals – even breakfast a la pita – to cater to any taste, including the vegetarian's. Their hummus and babaganoush will entice me back.
Pita Pit could give that sub place a good run for the money. About that name though … is it to draw the mosh pit crowd?? Delivery available.© Jane Feehan All rights reserved.
