Florida History: When dollar days made headlines in Fort Lauderdale


Lots of news this day in 1920 but a sale took the lead ... and it doesn't mention where. All commerce was downtown, so residents knew where sales were. The Fort Lauderdale Herald was the city's first newspaper  (1910 to the 1920s); it was produced in Deland.
