The name of this restaurant may convey something that it isn't: a fast food eatery. Pita Grille serves up a great menu of Mediterranean dishes in a stylish setting.

Lamb and seafood took center stage for a recent meal we enjoyed.  As  a starter, a Greek salad of fresh greens, tomatoes, and feta cheese was enough for two. One of the specials for the evening was bay scallops Louisiana style in a mildly spicy cream sauce. They nailed it; the scallops were cooked to perfection and the delicate sauce had just enough kick. Another diner ordered Branzino, also called European sea bass. Served whole, the fish was moist and flavorful. A dish of tender lamb shank also earned kudos with a savory, but not overpowering sauce.

Pita Grille also serves a variety of kabob platters, chicken dishes and other Mediterranean and Greek specialties. This eatery works hard to please patrons with good food and knowledgeable, professional servers. Staffers know the menu, how each dish is prepared and with what ingredients. They also know their wines. Pita Grille offers an interesting selection at reasonable prices.

We met some customers who told us they dine at Pita Grille weekly. It's easy to understand why.
