It’s not often that a restaurant opens ahead of schedule but Lobster Bar Sea Grille on Las Olas Boulevard plans to do that this week.  They will serve dinners Aug. 1 through Aug. 4 and will move to a full service of lunch and dinners beginning Aug. 5. Original plans called for opening Aug. 6.

Atlanta-based Buckhead Life Restaurant Group, owner of the successful Chops Lobster Bar, and City Fish Market in Boca Raton (and a number of great eateries in Atlanta), took over the space on Las Olas that was once Jackson’s Steak House.

Presiding over a kitchen and menus that will feature whole fish, live lobster and prime steaks is Executive Chef Eric Baker who honed his culinary skills in France. He recently served as chef at Steak 954 at the W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, and Café Boulud at the Brazilian Court in Palm Beach.

Lobster Bar Sea Grill is now taking reservations. Casual sophisticated.
